Hi everyone, welcome to spring cleaning day!

For the next couple hours (starting officially 1:30pm EST, 10:30am PST), we’ll be “spring cleaning” our Are.na channels and blocks. What does this entail? Good question…

Spring is beautiful and represents a return to life after the difficulties of winter. And by spring cleaning, we simply want to bring our own internal environments into accord with the “new again” outer world. Nowadays our internal environments are not only our physical homes but our virtual ones, too. And Are.na is one such home for some people.

Here are some guides to get started in spring cleaning:

This event is happening concurrently in NYC and SF. There will be ambient audio streams from both locations...

Apparently spring cleaning has been a tradition for a long time, dating back to when homes were warmed by burning wood and coal and lit by kerosene lamps. These processes often left homes covered in dark soot, so it was only natural to clean once Earth’s seasonal change provided enough warmth and natural light to even notice the soot in the first place.

Spring is beautiful, and by spring cleaning, we simply want to bring our own internal environments into accord with the “new again” outer world.
