Cybernetics was derived from the Greek word for steersman Cybernetics. It has many definitions, but the one I prefer the most is that it is the " study of feedback." (Littlejohn, 2001) W. Ross Ashbey (1956) had a more complete definition however; he said that cybernetics was the formal study of all possible machines and a discipline with its own foundations.
